What can we learn from Mrs. Caassidy?

Mrs. Cassidy teaches an elementary class. Her students love to write their blogs. One reason is they can write to people around the world. One thing they learn is to be very cautious of what you write on the internet. Another thing is being careful not to hurrt anybody's feelings in your writings. In Mrs. Cassidy's approach to using technology in the classroom is taking the time out to learning the students and technology and getting them to learn it as well. She gets the students to understand that other people can read their work and comment on them and not just her. That can warm them up to the idea because it can make them feel more excited to know more people are seeing the things they write I would try all of these because not every approach works for everybody.

What Can We Learn About Teaching and Learning From Randy Pausch?

Randy talks about a brick wall. Brick walls can represent something standing in the way of your dreams. If you really want to achieve your dreams you wouldn't let anything stop you. Because if you let something keep you from achieving your dreams than you really didn't want it since you gave up too easily.

Randy had a few dreams that he went after until he no longer could pursue them. One was being in zero gravity. Randy had the chance to live that dream. Another dream was playing in the NFL. Of course he didn't make it into the NFL but it got him to where he is today. He learned the fundamentals and hard work. He also learned when you don't get what you want that it allows you to gain experience.

We can learn that perseverance can pay off when you really want to accomplish your childhood dreams. You can learn something new every time you push yourself to try new things.
For my C4T Assignment I was assigned to comment on Tony Baldasaro's blog post. Tony is an educator. The first post I commented on was called 9 Words. In his post 9 Words, Tony is talking about the moment you realize you are doing what you are supposed to be doing along with the people you are doing it with.

For my C4T Assignment I was assigned to comment on Tony Baldasaro's blog post. Tony is an educator. The first post I commented on was called 9 Words. In his post 9 Words, Tony is talking about the moment you realize you are doing what you are supposed to be doing along with the people you are doing it with.

He tells a story of how his moment of realization was on a Monday. Tony have meetings with his colleagues every Mondays. During their meetings they have discussions involving numerous of topics including their different philosophies. In this particular meeting the CEO said 9 words, "if we are really going to change the world..." These 9 words helped Tony and his coworkers to remember educators mission in their career, changing the lives of students all around the world.
